Uwe Bedenbecker (*Essen, 1965). Uwe devotes himself to free photography projects and is a keen photobook collector. Self-taught photographer, workshop participation at Lichtblick School Cologne (with Wolfgang Zurborn, Markus Schaden, Harvey Benge)

Artist statement: “In my photography I put a special emphasis on the examination of the relationship between humans and nature in different cultures of our world. I find my subjects mainly in large cities as well as on remote islands: both are places where civilisation and nature encounter each other in an area of limited space.”
